Summer Arts Academy Players Registration (Ages 5-20)

The Summer Arts Academy Players program provides a two week, total theatrical immersion for a wide range of ages and experience levels, all culminating in a full scale musical one act production. Presented as a "double feature" will be Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking Glass" for ages 13 and under, and the Dearborn area premiere of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" for ages 14 and older. Young actors will take part in a production with a multitude of roles available that include singing, dancing and costuming. Participants will learn theatre etiquette, individual and group choreography, and music and stage performance skills specific to the final performance. A show T-shirt and cast pizza party are included in the program fee. All participants must attend the first day, Monday, July 6th for auditons. Classes are held July 6 - 19, 2015 from 9:30am to 4:30pm in Studio A and the Michael A. Guido Theater (some days/hours may vary by age group and there may be additional evening dress rehearsals July 14-16 as well as dress rehearsals for understudies-Saturday afternoon, July 18 with Cast Party to follow in Studio A). Performances on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 7:30pm and Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2pm & 6:30pm. Additional auditions scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 6pm to 9pm in Studio A.
